Website Design for Solo Therapists and Private Practices in Canada

You became a therapist to help people, not to learn web design. We build a clear, credible website that tells the right clients who you are and makes it easy to book.

Who this is for

  • Newly registered

    You are newly registered

and need a professional site before you take your first client.

  • Going solo

You are leaving an employer or a group

to start your own private practice.

  • DIY site

    You built a site yourself

and it is not bringing in inquiries.

  • Directories

You want to stop relying on directories

    you do not control.

The problem with most therapist websites

Most therapist sites look alike. The same stock photos, the same "safe space" line and the same list of services mean a visitor cannot tell why you are the right person. Directories send people your way, but you do not control the layout, the message or what happens after they leave. A website you own lets you say who you help and why, in your own words.

A simple process that respects your time

Between sessions and admin, you do not have hours to spare. The process has five clear steps, and most of your time goes into the first three.

  1. 1
    Your part

    Questionnaire

You answer questions about you, your clients and how you work.

  2. 2
    Your part

    Strategy call

We talk through your practice, your ideal clients and what your site needs to say.

  3. 3
    Your part

    Design approval

You review and approve the design and the pages we have drafted.

  4. 4
    Our part

    Development

We build the site and connect your booking and forms.

  5. 5
    Our part

    Launch

    We test everything and publish.

The page count is fixed for each package, so you know what you are getting before we start.

Bios and claims that follow your college's rules

Each regulatory college in Canada has its own advertising rules, and they differ between professions and provinces.

  • We review your bio and claims against those rules before launch.
  • We flag anything that needs a second look.
  • You remain responsible for your own advertising, so confirm anything unclear with your college.

When your practice grows

Many solo practices become group practices. When you are ready to hire your first clinician, your site will need a page for each person, booking for each clinician and a way to add people as you grow. Our group practice website design page covers that stage, including the monthly care plan that group practices use instead of the annual managed hosting plans above, and the free group practice checklist shows what to update before someone joins.

How much does a solo therapist website cost in Canada?

Solo practice websites from June Plum Creative start at $1,500 CAD + HST for the Launch package, a 3-page site where you provide your content and we refine it. The Grow package, with 5 pages and a blog, is $3,000 CAD + HST. Managed hosting is a separate annual cost, covered in the next question.

Your website is hosted on June Plum Creative's managed hosting solution, which is billed separately from your project price. Hosting and maintenance is billed annually at $234 CAD + HST for Launch and $384 CAD + HST for Grow, and renews on your launch date each year. Both plans include monthly general maintenance and service testing, plus up to 2 website updates per month, covering text or image changes, new page sections and updates to your services, FAQs or bios. Grow also covers blog updates.

Most solo practices need a homepage, an about page, a services page and a contact or booking page. Many also add a FAQ page. The Launch package covers Home, About and Contact. The Grow package adds a Services page, a Resources page and a blog.

Yes. A directory puts you in front of people already searching, but you do not control the layout, the message or what happens after someone clicks away. A website you own builds trust and keeps working even if your directory listing does not convert.

Yes. We link your site to Jane through booking buttons or embedded booking pages, depending on your Jane plan and how you want booking to appear. Other booking systems can be connected the same way.

For sensitive intake information, we set up forms with privacy in mind and recommend tools built for handling it. Basic contact forms are usually fine, but intake forms that collect client details need more care.

Both the Launch and Grow packages are live within 3 weeks. Having your questionnaire and photos ready speeds up either one.

We review your bio and claims against the rules of your college and flag anything that needs attention. You remain responsible for your own advertising, so anything unclear should be confirmed with your college.
